Who is LIMS-Environment for?
LIMS-Environment is a laboratory information management system for environmental and water-testing labs. It records the facts of each sample from collection through certificate reports and invoicing, so data is entered once and is there at every later stage.
It suits labs where the data is as much of the business as the testing: repeat customers with their own reporting needs, and state or regional agencies that expect compliance reports in specific detail.

How does LIMS-Environment work with EQQ-Triangle?
LIMS-Environment holds the data and runs the lab workflow. The questions that come later are harder to plan for: a customer wants a different layout, or an agency changes its import format. EQQ-Triangle handles those. It is read-only and installed with your database, and your staff build and reuse queries without writing SQL, then export to Excel, CSV, JSON, or PDF.
This is how Granite State Analytical Services worked with Ewarenow's LIMS. Its staff used Quick Query, the ancestor of EQQ-Triangle, to build templates that pulled data from the LIMS into Excel in the format state agencies required. Is LIMS-Environment only for water-testing labs?
It is built for environmental and water-testing labs, whose needs differ from those of consumer-product, pharmaceutical, or medical labs.
Do lab staff need SQL to pull data out?
No. With EQQ-Triangle, staff build and reuse their own exports without SQL. EQQ-Triangle is read-only, so it cannot change your lab records. It supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL.
Can the application change as our lab changes?
Yes. In the Granite State case, the LIMS stayed malleable and Ewarenow made many changes and improvements over the years. See our customized business apps service.
